Players should have the mindset not only to win the match but also the respect from their opponents. Players must be fair, honest and sportsmanlike at all times, conduct themselves in a professional manner both on and off the court, and exemplify the highest standards of moral character. Bay Area Tennis League has a zero tolerance policy for convictions involving bad manners, misbehavior such as profanity, smashing/throwing rackets, bad line-call and harassment.
Please, do not make a bad line call especially in a match point. Most of the argument starts after a bad call for the important point. Only call the ball out if you are 100% sure it is out. If you feel the ball might have touched the line even just 1 cm, do not call it out!!
We have an anonymous feedback system for players to provide input after each match. If your opponents are cheaters, do not argue or confront them (so they will not know who reported them), just simply provide the feedback after the match and they will be punished after the league ends.
Please do your best to rate your level honestly, we have a system to adjust your level every 6 months.
